Alekhya's Signature Series

This is a story of a blind orphan girl. Feel the emotions from every of her step and moments she overcame and suffered through her lines.

“Losing my eye sight had nothing to do with my passion on music. Yes, I’m blind but not by heart. My wishes, hopes, thoughts and feelings are not different than a normal girl. Though many regretted to speak with me, many rejected on my face. I didn’t lose my willpower. At one point of my time I felt like to yell on the world that “Yes, I too sustain. Is being disabled is a reason or an excuse? Why me? “.

I realised giving much significance to my blindness is foolishness, I must focus on my passion of music. I should give a full stop here. I was not allowed to music classes because “what will a blind orphan girl learn?” was the only question I can hear from everyone. There were many sleepless nights and many days I remained with empty stomach because no one to feed me, no one to look after me. I don’t know how do this world looks but now even if I get my vision back, I feel I don’t want to see this world. And I thought if there is no support from anyone how will I able to move forward. Why are these human beings differentiating people based on their disabilities? I’m blind but not deaf and dumb, I can learn music.

Then I ignored this world and started learning music because “where there is a will, there is a way”. I was suggested to a blind school where they taught me music. Taking this an opportunity I gave birth to my passion. I participated in many concerts, now I am a preferred singer on priority. I started earning and can stand proudly on my legs. And I thought like me no other blind orphan girl should suffer. So, I started a music school which is irrespective of any disability factors. WE ARE BLIND BY VISION NOT BY HEART.
